The location of the lodge offers beautiful mountain and forest views, providing a peaceful and restful getaway. Guests can enjoy the large common deck and private balconies for stunning vistas. The breakfast served at the lodge is described as scrumptious and bountiful, with a well-balanced and hearty selection. The lodge itself is luxurious, beautifully decorated, and designed for comfort. Activities such as hiking, exploring old mine camps, and visiting St. Mary's Glacier are easily accessible from the lodge.
The lodge may be in need of some updating, as it seems that not much has been done since previous visits several years ago.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this hotel. The cozy winter retreat vibe created the perfect romantic hideaway. The roaring fireplaces, roses, and candles added a touch of romance. The Christmas trees and beautiful views of St. Mary's glacier and surrounding mountains made it even more magical. The hotel had several cozy sitting rooms with board games and books, perfect for enjoying the view. The beds were so comfy, and the manager was incredibly sweet and thoughtful. They even organized a champagne toast for our engagement and gave us a candle to remember the weekend. The staff was friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. The offer of beer and wine was a nice touch.
Nothing, everything was great.

As trekkers and a group of friends, we loved the beautiful location and the accommodating host, Jim. The delicious and generous breakfast, as well as the wonderful happy hour with tasty eats and drinks, were a definite highlight. The peaceful setting, beautifully decorated accommodations, and ample hiking options right from the lodge were all fantastic. Jim even allowed us to take his dog, Tess, along on our hike. We highly recommend Jim's hospitality and the overall experience at this B&B.
Felt great, no complaints at all.

Wow, we had an amazing stay at The Silver Lake Lodge! We came to Colorado for a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater and decided to spend the rest of our time in the mountains. The lodge is nestled high in the Rockies, offering stunning scenery and clean mountain air. The owners, Taylor and Paula, take incredible care of their guests and make you feel right at home. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the lodge has a cozy common area with a fireplace and beautiful views. Plus, Presley the Basset Hound is such a friendly and adorable addition to the lodge. We loved every minute of our stay and can't wait to return!
Totally recommend this hotel.

Roaring fireplaces, roses and candles, Christmas trees, hot beverages available at any hour, tucked into pine trees on a mountain side with gorgeous views of St. Mary's glacier and surrounding mountains. Several different cozy sitting rooms with board games and books, where you can relax and enjoy the view. Beds were super comfy. Incredibly sweet and thoughtful manager organized a champagne toast for our engagement with all couples staying there, and gave us a candle to remember the beautiful weekend.
Would recommend this hotel.

The location was isolated, making us feel trapped with limited options for activities. The room was small and lacked any modern amenities. The bathroom was cramped, with a weak shower and outdated fixtures. The service was subpar, with no one checking in on us during our stay. The breakfast options were limited and uninspiring. The lack of a view added to our overall disappointment.
The lodge lacked modern amenities and the service was subpar.
